For a show to run successfully for nine seasons and yet continue to get a captive audience is no mean task. And with Grey’s Anatomy, the show continues to swing upwards and be every bit engaging, wowing the audience. Revolving around the life of surgeon Meredith Grey, this hospital drama has caught on really well with its twists and turns and is high on drama and emotions. The premier of the 10th season is a two hour long mega episode narrated by Webber. As usual, it develops multiple parallel story lines. Taking it from the end of Season 9, Christina, who had ended her relationship with Owen and was ready to leave, comes back to help as the Emergency Room sees a surge of patients waiting for treatment.
Meanwhile, Webber and the intern Heather Brooks have been electrocuted. In a twist of events, Heather doesn’t make it while Webber has left Meredith to make his medical decisions, should he be unable to do so himself. New mom Meredith is absolutely clueless but somehow makes the right decisions. Calli and Arizona are going through a rough patch. After about 80 minutes of anxiety, drama and philosophy, Webber makes it.
It’s creator, Shonda Rhimes is once again able to create grippig magic with her hospital drama. A sense of nostalgia is also felt as we see the new batch of interns going through exactly what Meredith’s batch went through in the initial seasons. Nine seasons and countless episodes later, McDreamy continues to make audience across the globe drool. The three kids in the series are a great addition and seem to add hope and sunshine to the entire show. The actors are great, once again. The intimate scenes between Hunt and Crisitina add some much needed spice, saving us all from an overload of emotions.
However, as it goes with every season of Grey’s…, this one is also immensely intense. It’s not always rainbows and butterflies. The art direction is brilliant. The show does have realisitic visuals of how gory a hospital can get in times of emergency. The show has this unique ability to portray true emotions without crossing the line of sounding cheesy. A lot of the realism can be attributed to the powerful way in which the characters and the plot has been written. You don’t have to be a surgeon,or even a doctor to relate to it. You simply need to be receptive and sensitive for Grey’s Anatomy to move you.

Verdict: If you are a true Grey’s… fan, getting hooked is inevitable.
