Malayalam film ‘Ottaal’ selected for Berlinale 2016
Malayalam film "Ottaal" has been selected in competition for the Generation Kplus section at Berlin International Film Fest.
“Ottaal” has already been screened at the Mumbai Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Kerala.
National Award winning Malayalam film “Ottaal” has been selected in competition for the Generation Kplus section at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival February 11-21.
Jayaraj-directed “Ottaal”, an adaptation of a short story by Russian writer Anton Chekhov, is part of 13 films in the category that will compete for the Crystal Bear and jury prizes.
Part of the children and youth films section, “Ottaal” will compete with films such as “Little Men”, “Blue Bicycle”, “Rara” and “The World of Us” among others.
“Ottaal” has already been screened at the Mumbai Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Kerala.
