Pop star Shakira is using her creativity for a good cause by designing a doll for a children’s cancer charity.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” star has teamed up with officials at the Juegaterapia Foundation, an organisation which donates toys, video game consoles, computers and more to children who are undergoing treatment for cancer in hospitals throughout Spain, reported Billboard.

Their new campaign has recruited Shakira and other Latino celebrities to design a bald doll, called Baby Pelon, so kids who have lost their hair during chemotherapy can identify with the toy.

Shakira, who has two sons with Spanish football player Gerard Pique, shared a photo of her doll wearing a bandana and covered in pink-coloured lips – a symbol of the star sending her love to the kids in hospital and their families.

Spanish superstar Alejandro Sanz has also designed a special doll for the campaign.
