Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila to perform in Kolkata on Vijay Diwas

“Runa Laila, Arian, Kusthia’s Lalan group, Krishnakali are some of the well-known artistes scheduled to perform. Events will highlight Nazrul giti, Rabindra Sangeet, Baulgan, Lalan giti, Sufi, Bangla band and films will be screened as well,” said Md. Mofakkharul Iqbal, first secretary (press) at the Commission.

Among the country’s signature products, Dhakai jamdani, Rajsahi’s silk and ceramics will be on display. Food stalls will showcase kacchi biriyani, bhuna khichri and pitha (deserts), he said.
