Sultan is the break Bollywood has been looking for. The Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma-starrer movie has made waves on the very day of its release. Trade analysts, who have been predicting Rs 150-crore opening for the film, took to Twitter to share that Salman fever is well and truly here.
While the early reviews of the film are encouraging, shifting of Eid by one day was expected to hit Sultan’s fortunes. Sultan was supposed to be an Eid release but the festival is now being celebrated on Thursday. The fact that the film leaked online a few hours before release also worried experts.
But people turning out in large numbers to watch the Salman film has negated all worries. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that Sultan will help Bollywood come out of a sluggish phase. He said the film is going to be huge given the gigantic start at BO.
