Actress Pooja Hegde says she is a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan and working with the actor in her debut Bollywood film Mohenjo Daro was surreal for her.

The 25-year-old actress will be seen playing Hrithik’s love interest in Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical saga set in the backdrop of the Indus Valley civilization.

“I have been a fan of him. He was my favourite actor. So, to actually do a film with him years later is quite surreal. When I started modelling one of my friends had said that she hopes I get to work with Hrithik one day. And this came true in my very first film. Dreams do come true,” Pooja told PTI.

Before foraying into Bollywood, the model-actress had starred in Tamil superhero film ‘Mugamoodi’ besides being part of Telugu films ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ and ‘Mukunda’.

Pooja hopes that with her debut Hindi film she will be able to successfully establish herself in Bollywood.

“A debut film is an audition to the world because no one has ever seen anything of yours before. People are waiting to see you. We live in the time where everyone expects you to be good right from your first film.”

Pooja says she loved every bit of her experience while working on the film as both Hrithik and her character possess an old-world charm, which is missing in today’s romance.

“Our film is a pure love story. Yet it is still charming, naughty and fun. It is very different from the techno crazy, fast paced, neon life that we lead today.”

The actress says she is a bundle of nerves and eager awaiting the audiences reaction to her role when the film releases on August 12.

“I have given my best shot. I have tried to do a good job. I am nervous but I think the nervous energy is good energy.”
