Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar is Back’ and Paresh Rawal’s ‘Dharam Sankat Mein’ sold for Rs. 60 crores?

Kumar Mangat has acquired the all India distribution rights of both 'Gabbar is Back' and 'Dharam Sankat Mein'.

Akshay Kumar‘s forthcoming film ‘Gabbar is Back‘ has been making headlines ever since the release of the film’s first look. But away from the media glare we hear of a trade deal that just went through. In fact we hear that producer Kumar Mangat best known for his ventures like ‘Special 26’, and ‘Omkara’ has acquired the right of the film.

Apparently Mangat has acquired the distribution rights of ‘Gabbar is Back’ along with the soon to release Paresh Rawal starrer ‘Dharam Sankat Mein‘ in a package deal worth a whopping Rs. 60 crores. As for the breakup we hear that Mangat shelled out Rs. 42 crores for the rights of both films with an addition spend of Rs. 18 crores on publicity.

Confirming the same Mangat stated that he has acquired the all India distribution rights of both ‘Gabbar is Back’ and ‘Dharam Sankat Mein’, however he refrained for commenting on the price for the same.
