Akshay Kumar takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with 11 buckets

Akshay Kumar, who was nominated by actor Riteish Deshmukh to take the now gone-viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, took it with not just one bucket of ice water but 11 buckets.

Akshay Kumar nominated his wife Twinkle, superstar Salman Khan, star comedian Johnny Lever and his friend Ashvini Yardi.

‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar, who was nominated by actor Riteish Deshmukh to take the now gone-viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, took it with not just one bucket of ice water but 11 buckets.

The actor, who is in Cape Town for reality show ‘Dare To Dance’ with 11 contestants, further nominated four more people – his wife Twinkle, superstar Salman Khan, star comedian Johnny Lever and his friend Ashvini Yardi.

In the video Akshay said: “I am in Cape Town right now and the temperature is approximately 8 degrees. I am hosting ‘Dare To Dance’ here and I have 11 contestants with me here. My friend Riteish Deshmukh has dared me to take up the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. And I am ready to do it.”

“I had just asked one contestant to help me, and the other 10 also came along to help because we Indians are always eager to help others. Also I want to tell you guys that I am using sea water because I don’t want to waste fresh water. I want to nominate my wife Twinkle Khanna, my friend Ashwini Yardi, Salman Khan and Johny Lever. I dare them to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. It’s for a good cause,” he added.
