After Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt drops out of Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’

Sanjay Dutt has, reportedly, opted out of Karan Johar's magnum opus, in which he was supposed to play a negative role.

Days after Salman Khan walked out of Shuddhi, his close friend Sanjay Dutt has, reportedly, opted out of Karan Johar’s magnum opus, in which he was supposed to play a negative role.

According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Sanjay didn’t want to do a negative role immediately after coming out of jail. “He will start with OMG-Oh My God! director Umesh Shukla’s film in which he plays a hero,” says the report.

Karan Johar, however, has denied the story and said, “The role of the antagonist in Shuddhi is by far one of the best written anatagonist roles. We have never offered the role to Sanjay. We have yet to cast anyone.”

Sanjay Dutt has been serving a 42-month sentence in Yerwada Central Jail for illegal possession of weapons during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
