Aamir Khan celebrates Makar Sakranti on Dangal sets, flies kites with locals

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, along with the cast and crew of his upcoming film ‘Dangal’, celebrated Makar Sankranti and Lohri on the film’s sets in Ludhiana. Aamir Khan, dressed in white kurta pyjama, was seen flying kites with the locals.

Aamir Khan has been stationed in Punjab for many months for the shoot of Dangal.

Speaking to Indian Express, Nitesh Tiwari, director of the film said, “We enjoyed lots of sweets brought in by local boys on our sets and flew kites. A biopic on Haryana-based wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, the movie is currently in the second phase of its shooting in Ludhiana at village Gujjarwal. The Punjabi village has been given a Haryanvi makeover for the film.

In past one week, shooting has also been done in Ludhiana city areas like Janta Nagar, Officers’ Colony, Guru Nanak Stadium, Mall Road etc.
