No Chetan Bhagat, course on writing FB posts in DU syllabus — for now

With DU’s English department reviewing its syllabus under the Choice Based Credit System following protests, the proposals to include Chetan Bhagat’s novels and a course on writing Facebook posts in the curriculum have been put on hold till the next academic session. “It was felt that there is arbitrariness in framing the syllabus. It has also come to light that the department has been favouring some authors and publishers…,” read the minutes of meeting in which the review panel was formed.
