“I want to pursue Law from a good college, so I’m preparing for the entrance exams. When she is not studying, Anushka spends her time singing or swimming. When asked about her preparation for boards, she says, she deactivated all her online media accounts three months before the Board exams. “I parted with my smartphone and started using a basic phone, which only allowed me to make calls. It indeed saved a lot of time,” she smiled.
While Anushka quit online networking sites, her batch-mate, Sonakshi Bhushan says spending time on online networking sites, rather acted as a stress-buster. “I was staying in a PG, away from my mother, so it was only through these networking sites which helped me remain connected with my mother and friends. It helped me ease the exam stress,” she says.

Sonakshi wants to pursue Honors in Political Science from Delhi University and become an IAS officer. “I had worked very hard for board exams, and put in consistent efforts. I wanted to perform well, and I’m happy that I did,” she says.
The third rank in the Tricity was shared by three girls two from Commerce stream, while one was from Humanities with 97.4 % each. While Mehak Sharma, from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16 and Hitasha from Carmel Convent School, Sector 9 were from Commerce, Anupriya Dhonchak from Bhavan Vidyalaya is from Humanities.
Mehak who aspires to become a Chartered Accountant says he loves singing, and listening to good music, which helps her relieve exam stress. “Music is also my favorite subject, I secured 100 in music as well,” she smiles.
