Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Praveen Togadia on Sunday said the debate on choosing between Hindutva and development is futile since development in the county is all thanks to Hindutva.
India can become an economic superpower only through Hindutva, Togadia said at a function organised by Niramay,an NGO for the poor and supported by the VHP.
He said the public service is carried out by Muslim,Christian and Hindu organisations, but the motive of each is different. The service provided by Christian and Muslim community is imperialistic and not on humanitarian grounds while the social service initiative of Hindu organisations is only for public cause,Togadia said.
The VHP leader said there was a misconception that Christian organisations are leading in providing services to the poor, but it is hardly one per cent of that by Hindu organisations.
I will soon come out with a book that will make public the contribution of Hindu organisations, he said.
The VHP wants to make a resolution that would ensure that no poor sleeps without food, dies without medication and remains illiterate due to lack of money,Togadia said.
