In another year’s time, the city might get its first amusement theme park called ‘Majhe Jag’ (My World) in Bhandup. The plan was approved by the State government recently and the work on the 20,590 sqmt land will be carried out in two phases.
The area next to the Eastern Express Highway in Bhandupeshwar Kund was declared as a tourism zone, following which, architectural plans were designed for the park. It will consist of rides, mini trains and an amphitheater.
“Once the theme park is ready, we will also request BMC to take children from the municipal schools to the park once in a year, free of cost,” said Vikhroli MLA Mangesh Sangle from the MNS.
