Shruti Hassan files police complaint

A day after an unidentified stalker allegedly attacked actor Shruti Hassan at her Bandra residence,she registered a police complaint Thursday.

On Wednesday night,the suspect allegedly rang the doorbell of Hassans residence near Mount Mary Church in Bandra and,as soon as she opened the door,attacked her and tried to barge inside. Hassan raised an alarm and the suspect fled.

Bandra police said Hassan,daughter of veteran actors Kamal Hassan and Sarika,reached the station late in the evening on Thursday. We recorded her statement and registered a complaint of criminal trespass and stalking against unidentified persons, said DCP (Zone IX) Chhering Dorje.

Police said they had examined CCTV footage of the building compound,which had captured the suspect entering the building.

He wrote Ashok in the visitors register,but we suspect that is not his real name. A probe is on, Dorje added.

Hassan,in her police statement,has said the suspect had also tried to harass her on three-four locations where she was shooting for upcoming movies. He had also tried to stop her car once,police said.
