Hyundai revises features of Xcent and Eon

Hyundai may make changes to the Verna, Elantra, Grand i10 and Santa Fe too, but there is no concrete information on the same as of now.

Hyundai has improved their feasibilty in the face of growing input costs and popularity of these cars in their respective segments.

Hyundai is slowly revising features across its model range lately. It started with the Elite i20 almost about a month ago, and now the Hyundai Xcent compact-sedan and Hyundai Eon entry-level hatchback have been revised. Hyundai has done this to improve their feasibility in the face of growing input costs and popularity of these cars in their respective segments.

The Hyundai Elite i20, earlier last month, had undergone a major feature revision. While all variants received new seat fabrics and a ticket holder many variants had some of their features removed. Mechanically the car remained the same as before.

In case of the Xcent compact-sedan, Hyundai has made ABS standard across the entire range. The feature was earlier not available on the Base and S variants of the car. The move seems to be the result of customers demanding more safety features in their cars. Meanwhile, the Xcent S(O) variant gets dual front airbags as a new feature along with a new reversing camera with IRVM display.

Hyundai has removed many features from the Eon hatchback meanwhile. The Eon D-Lite+ is no longer offered with body-coloured bumpers or a chrome grille, instead it gets black bumpers and a body-coloured grille. Central locking has been removed from the Eon Era+ variant.

Hyundai is also adding new variants to the Elite i20 and i20 Active range, these top-of-the-line variants fitted with both diesel and petrol motors get a new 7-inch touch-screen based audio-visual-navigation display with reverse camera display.

Hyundai may make changes to the Verna, Elantra, Grand i10 and Santa Fe too, but there is no concrete information on the same as of now.
