For Windies, their pacers were brilliant. Their ploy of playing 4 pacers worked for them. Sheldon Cottrell was the pick of the bowlers for them picking up 4 wickets. He was well-supported by the rest. Every bowler except for Powell managed to pick a wicket.

Bangladesh came out with an attacking approach after electing to bat. They did manage to score runs but lost wickets at regular interval. They scored 54 in their Powerplay but lost a total of 4 wickets. Shakib then continued but received minimal support from the other end. He got to his fifty but fell at the wrong time for Bangladesh. The lower order failed to contribute and hence, the hosts failed to play out their full quote of overs.

Carlos Brathwaite says he wanted to bowl first. Informs they are playing with four pacers and he hopes to restrict Bangladesh to a small total. Mentions the guys are rearing to go and he feels this is their best chance to win a series in Bangladesh. Further adds the guys that have come in, are in good form. Ends by saying they are playing 4 pacers and 1 spinner.

Shakib Al Hasan says it looks like a good wicket and he feels it won't change a lot. He hopes to put the Windies under pressure by putting up a good score. He reckons they have a balanced eleven. States the Windies are a better team in the shortest format and they will have to be at their best.

TOSS - Bangladesh win the toss and they elect to bat first.

Pitch report - Tino Mawoyo says it is overcast conditions here but the wicket looks a good one. Further adds there is a little grass but it is well-rolled and hence, the wicket will hold up well. Ends by saying, batting first is the way to go as dew won't play a part.

Steve Rhodes the Bangladesh Coach is giving an interview. He starts by saying, it is a different format and it will be interesting to see how they play. Admits they would love to go higher up on the T20I rankings and they will want to beat the Windies here. States the World Cup is surely on their mind and they are working towards it. Mentions they have ODIs against Ireland and they are looking forward to it. Further adds they will look to entertain the crowd here but also want to win the game.

Coming to the visitors, this is one format they cherish a lot. But lately they have not at been at their best of form losing quite a few games. Carlos Brathwaite will like his side to make a comeback and give a fight in this series. Windies would be hoping their in form player Shai Hope recovers from injury. Should be an interesting contest.
