The upcoming ODI Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the tournament and will be the fourth time India will be hosting it. Before the current edition of the World Cup started, West Indies big-hitting star Chris Gayle topped the charts after smashing 49 sixes in 34 innings. South African batter AB de Villiers was next at number two with 37 sixes in 22 innings from 2007 to 2015. Legendary Australian captain Ricky Ponting was at three with 31 sixes in 42 innings. New Zealand's Brendon McCullum occupied fourth place with 29 sixes in 27 innings.

India's Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are at number seven and nine with 27 and 25 sixes each.
