When the summer heat is at its peak, nothing compares to the cool, revitalised feeling a glass of our favourite chilled drink provides.
However, we often opt for drinks that are loaded with extra calories and sugar. Drinks that we usually crave come in cans or packaged bottles. Deepika Sharma, a certified fitness coach, understands this urge and shares 8 healthy summer drinks that actually helps in weight loss and boost energy.

Deepika Sharma recommends sticking to the old school and often underrated lemon water with mint. "Your digestion gets a gentle push, your system feels lighter, and you’re not reaching for that 4 PM sugar fix", says the fitness coach. (Source- Freepik)

She further suggest coconut water. She remarks, "It’s nature’s own sports drink." Surprisingly filling, somewhat sweet, and packed with electrolytes. When you're sweating and bored, sip this rather than grabbing some chips, she advises.

Deepika Sharma also recommends cucumber detox water, "Feels like a spa session in a glass. Cools you down, calms your bloating, and reminds you that you are taking care of yourself—even if your to-do list says otherwise." (Source- Freepik)

Watermelon juices are a treat in the summers, especially for those with a sweet tooth. The fitness coach reminds us that even though watermelons are mostly water, they are full of beneficial ingredients for restoration and hydration, particularly after exercising. (Source- Freepik)

Chaas is the OG Indian summer drink. Light, salty, and amazing for your gut. She says Chaas is "Perfect when you’ve skipped lunch but still want to function like an adult." (Source- Freepik)

Even though apple cider vinegar is not everyone's cup of tea, if you mix it right—with water, honey, and maybe some cinnamon, shares Sharma, it helps curb those snack attacks and keeps your sugar levels from roller-coasting. (Source- Freepik)

Aloe vera juice might not taste pleasant in our mouths, but our stomach loves it, says Sharma. She adds, "It’s like giving your body a hug from the inside—no caffeine needed." (Source- Freepik)
