Urmila, Preity, Saif: Actors who married in their late 30s and early 40s

Actress Urmila Matondkar, 42, married Kashmir-based businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir on Thursday (March 3) afternoon in a quiet ceremony. The ceremony was a simple one devoid of any usual Bollywood strappings and had only Urmila’s close family members. The wedding was solemnised as per Hindu rituals at Urmila’s residence.

Actress Preity Zinta, 41, also tied the knot with her US-based boyfriend and fiance Gene Goodenough in LA recently. The marriage was a low-key affair with only close family members and friends being present at the venue.

The Nawab Saif Ali Khan, at the age of 42, tied the knot with actress Kareena Kapoor who was 10 years younger than him in the year 2012. This was Saif Ali Khan's second marraige. Earlier, he was married to actress Amrita Singh who was 10 years older to him.

Rani Mukerji, 35, and Aditya Chopra, 48, who were secretly dating for a long time, tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Italy in 2014. Rani Mukerji gave birth to a baby girl on December 9 last year and the couple named their daughter Adira.

Actress Manisha Koirala, at the age of 40, had married Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal in the year 2010. But the marraige didn't last long and the couple had a bad split in the year 2012. Their marriage lasted for just two years.

Actor Sanjay Dutt married girlfriend Maanyata Dutt in a private ceremony in Goa in 2008 after dating for two years. This was Sanjay Dutt's third wedding. He was 49 then. The couple are parents of twins named Iqra and Shahraan. Sanjay also has a daughter named Trishala from his first wife actress Richa Sharma.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, at the age of 44, married actress Saira Banu who was 22 years younger than him in 1966.

Soha Ali Khan tied the knot with her long time beau and fiance Kunal Khemu on January 25, 2015 in a simple wedding ceremony. She was 36.
