Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited film 'Fan's trailer was launched by his fans at the Yash Raj Studios on Monday (February 29). Going by the title and the theme of the film, Shah Rukh's fans from all around gathered at the studios to unveiled the trailer with him.
Shah Rukh, who was at his best at the event, interacted with his fans and also answered all their queries.
Fan revolves around a young boy from Delhi named Gaurav who embarks on a journey to the city of dreams, Mumbai, in order to wish his favourite actor on his birthday. After all, he is Aryan's biggest fan and even has a striking resemblance to him - how difficult could it be for the world's biggest fan to get an audience with the world's biggest star. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday denied that one of the two characters he plays in Maneesh Sharma's film 'Fan' bears resemblance to his 'psycho' characters in films, 'Darr' and 'Baazigar'. He said, "People keep saying that I do the same acting for the past 25 years... even the critics say that, but I have tried that this is different. And Maneesh was very clear about the way this character is played, and I would not take any credit for having done it any differently when people find it different."

"But it is a lot different, the genre maybe the same, of an anti-hero or bad guy, to put it in general compartments, but as a film and as a character, it's very different from 'K..K..Kiran' or 'Haarkar jeetne walo ko baazigar kehte hai'," SRK added. (Source: Varinder Chawla)
After the teaser of the film and even the anthem track 'Jabra Fan' gave the impression that it was a "sweet and simple" kind of film, the trailer might have surprised his fans, considering that this 'fan' gets agitated after an unpleasant experience with his favourite star and wants to get even with him.
This obviously drew comparisons to Shah Rukh's earlier films like "Darr" where he played an obsessive lover and "Baazigar", where he played a conspiring revenge-driven youngster.
But Shah Rukh clarified that his character is "not psychotic, he's not a psychopath". "It's the story of a very innocent boy, who does not get how he feels life would be, when he meets his biggest star. (Source: Varinder Chawla)

SRK said, "It was a very physically challenging film. It was physically challenging to do a double role. It was more challenging as at this age I had to play a 24-year-old boy, have his energy, and then I had another part to play of a superstar."

The actor, who also did an impromptu on the stage, said, "It was a difficult character to play. But the team helped me and made it easy for me. We have tried to keep it normal and simple. We had to put make-up and initially it used to take six hours. Later, after some practice, it took two-and-half to three hours. I am never bothered about how I am. I wear stardom like T-shirt, not like Tuxedo." (Source: Varinder Chawla)

The song 'Jabra fan' which released few days back is just a promotional song the actor cleared. Talking about his experience while shooting for the song, he said, "I was injured and still did 'Jabra' song. There are no songs in the film, except one. I told Maneesh to put an item song, but he refused. It's a pure experience of story telling... It's a new way." (Source: Varinder Chawla)
