Wipro shares end down 4.59 pct

Wipro ended the day with a loss of 4.59 per cent at Rs 456.05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after it could not recover from the losses it suffered post its below-expectation third quarter numbers.

During the day,the scrip had shed 4.86 per cent to touch a low of Rs 454.75 and emerged as the top loser among the frontline stocks on Sensex.

On the National Stock Exchange,Wipro ended at Rs 456.50,down 4.40 per cent from the previous close.

In terms of volume,over 45 lakh shares of the software major were traded on the stock exchanges.

Meanwhile,the broader market benchmark Sensex ended the day at 19,007.53,down 39.01 points amid a volatile session.
