The golden post

One post at Army HQ is always viewed with great interest the post of Additional Director General (ADG) of Administration and Coordination,who looks after facilities for top Generals and the Chief in particular,administration of the HQ area and the management of the Battle Honours Mess,seems to be a golden one,as all who assume the chair make it to the next level of Lt Gen. In the past,officers posted here like Arvind Mahajan,who later took over as DG EME,and Chatinder Singh have gone on to become Lt Gens. It is now rumoured that the current incumbent,Maj Gen Ramesh Kochar,is also set to be promoted to the next level.
