Showing little conviction in the theory of hostility between former Haryana DGP S P S Rathore and Anand Parkash,as alleged by Abha Rathore, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday observed,“The period is very long to keep the hostility alive. Moreover, the hostility does not appear to be so grave.”

Making the observations,Justice Jitendra Chauhan said,“Had the event been recent,it would have sounded logical. It is difficult to keep hostility alive for so long.”

Rathore’s counsel and wife Abha Rathore had alleged that there was old enmity between Rathore and Anand Parkash, father of Aradhana, friend of Ruchika Girhotra.

Referring to alleged adverse annual confidential reports (ACRs) of Anand Parkash,Abha said he wanted to settle personal score with former DGP. “This court cannot go into all this at this stage,” Justice Chauhan remarked.

She had alleged there were umpteen contradictions, improvements and changes made by Aradhana in her statement before the trial courts. Contentions were raised during the hearing of revision petition filed by Rathore challenging his enhanced sentence of 18 months.
