Suspected Maoists killed a CPM activist at Bandwan in Purulia district today morning.

Superintendent of Police,Purulia,Rajesh Yadav said the bullet-riddled body of Nakul Singh (40) was recovered from a road in Jamdi village early today.

The police have started an investigation into the killing. No arrests have been made so far.

According to police,around 10-12 Maoists raided the house of Nakul at Jamdi village last night. They barged into his house and took him away.

Later,locals found Nakul lying in a pool of blood. They,however,did not provide the information to the police,said an officer of the Bandwan police station.

The police said that the Maoists had opened fired

on him and left the body by the road.
