Jawan killed in blast along LoC in Poonch

One army jawan was killed as he slipped from the mountains and fell on a landmine that went off near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

During patrolling,a jawan slipped from the mountains along LoC and fell on the landmine,resulting in a powerful blast at Helmet Post in Balakote sector of Poonch district,an army officer said here.

The jawan died on the spot,he said adding the body has been recovered.
