Invitation Badminton tourney on Jun 18 and 19

Top shuttlers of the country will be seen in action in the two-day Invitation doubles badminton tournament to be held on June 18 and 19.

Speaking to reporters here today,Ijaz P Ismail,Convener of the tournament,said that eight teams would participate in the tournament jointly organised by renowned sports company Li-Ning and Officers Club.

Prominent players participating in the tourney are former players Jaseel P Ismail,Marcos Bristow,Thomas Kurian,Ram C Vijay and current shuttlers Arun Vishnu,Alwin Francis and bennet Antony,he said.

The quarter-finals will be played on June 18 and the semifinals on June 19 morning and finals in the evening,he said.
