Former Kullu SP Indoria placed under suspension

Himachal Pradesh government today ordered the suspension of KK Indoria,a promotee IPS officer who was earlier superintendent of police,Kullu and was facing charges of corruption,and benefiting from a leading hydro-power company during his tenure as SP in the district between 2009-2010.

The suspension order,in fact,came after a lot of dithering and persistent recommendations of the police headquarters to either strip Indoria of his current charge as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) to Director General of police,or order his suspension.

State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau,which has already registered an FIR against a Kullu-based businessman Ramesh Volga is carrying out detailed interrogation of Indoria about his dubious bank transactions.

Indoria pre-empted his arrest by moving the High Court and obtained an interim relief against his impending arrest. Some,however,allege that the police were slow in acting against him .

Besides Volga,the VB had recently also arrested two senior managers of hyder-power company Allain Duhangan.
