CSE index down 350 pts in weekly trade

The CSE benchmark index received another blow during the week in moderate trading volume.

The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) benchmark index received another blow during the week in moderate trading volume.

The benchmark index CSE-40 was down 350.14 points during the week. The local bourse had lost 149.60 at close. The index opened at 7750.01 after alternate bouts of gain and loss,closed at 7399.87.

BHEL was at Rs 2,212.05 a share and lost ground at Rs 2,290 a share at the closing of this week’s trade. ONGC and Reliance Industries were trading at Rs 1,195 and Rs 1019.95 a piece each,respectively.

State Bank of India lost sharply and closed the week at Rs 2,502.65 a piece. Tata Steel slipped to Rs 629 a share at the end of the week.
