On the concluding day of the fourth and last leg of his Navsarjan Yatra, Rahul Gandhi was given a grand reception by the Patidars in Mehsana town, the epicentre of the quota agitation.

Hardik Patel said that his friends in BJP had warned him about such a video in the making. "You can defame me, it makes no difference, but this is insulting women of Gujarat," he said.
Addressing the Patidars, Rahul said, “The BJP government fired bullets at you, they hit you with sticks, they have committed atrocities. The Congress government will be the one to bring change.”

The JD(U) chief, however, side-stepped a query on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi showing a lot of aggression during his poll campaign in Gujarat. "I have seen him (Gandhi) in action for long. I am not aware of any new aspect that is being pointed out," he said.
Asked about the recent torture of Congress workers by militants in Shopian area, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said, "It should not be tolerated. I hope that security forces will be able to apprehend them sooner or later and take them to task."

The Karadiya Rajputs have come together following filing of criminal cases against one of their leaders from Budhel village, Dansang Mori. The community alleges that the cases have been lodged at the instance of Vaghani.

Hardik Patel also reached out to the tribals and OBCs present at the event and invoked tribal leader Birsa Munda.
