It covers the entire Godda district and some parts of the Deoghar and Dumka districts. It is comprised of six Vidhan Sabha seats. The 2024 Lok Sabha pollings in Godda are scheduled to take place in phase 7 on Saturday, June 1.

Congress, who got Godda’s seat as a part of their seat-sharing deal in the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, has fielded Dipika Singh Pandey, the incumbent MLA from Mahagama, as their candidate for the 18th Lok Sabha elections. Before venturing into mainstream electoral politics, she also served as District President of the Godda District Congress Committee and National Secretary of Mahila Congress.
