“We brought the tribal bill, PESA law, MGNREGA and the Land Acquisition Act. Your right and land was returned by us. But BJP and RSS attack your religion, ideology, languages and history. Forest is shrinking in Hindustan. Who is doing it? BJP people are giving forest land to billionaires like Adani. A day will come when there will be no jungle in Hindustan while BJP, RSS people will say you are Vanvasi… now there is no jungle so you do not belong here,” he said.

Rahul criticised Modi for the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and alleged that the rich were selectively helped while Chhattisgarh migrants, who returned from places like Delhi, Maharashtra and Punjab, did not get any assistance.

On income inequality, Rahul said, “22 people in India have as much wealth as 70 crore people in India. And 24 hours, Modi helps these 22 to 25 people. Go anywhere, unemployment and inflation are the biggest issues.”

Pitching caste census as the solution for “real development”, he said, “After caste census, everyone will know what is our population and how much participation we have in government and wealth. You are not owning any of the 200 top companies in India. Just 2% to 3% are having fun while others are working as contract labourers. We will do a caste census as soon as we form the government.”

Gandhi alleged that BJP insulted President Droupadi Murmu by not inviting her to Ram temple consecration “only because she was an Adivasi. This is the message Modi gave to the country… this is their mindset.”

On treatment of Adivasis by BJP, Rahul said, “A BJP leader was peeing on a youth. Then BJP people circulated the video in the entire country to show what they can do with the Adivasis.”

Gandhi promised to fill 30 lakh government jobs, give apprenticeship for one year to those holding a degree or diploma where Rs 1 lakh will be deposited in their bank account, will end contractual job system and give permanent jobs in public sector and government, Rs 1 lakh to one woman per BPL family and reserve 50% government jobs for women.

“Narendra Modi ji waived loans worth Rs 16 lakh crore of those 22 to 25 people. The amount is equal to MGNREGA money for 24 years. But he never waives farmers’ loans. In Chhattisgarh, we waived loans and gave them the correct price. Now we will do this in India. We will waive farm loans and give farmers legal MSP,” he said.
