After years of alleged cover-ups, the Delhi High Court on Monday sentenced Congress leader Sajjan Kumar to life for his role in the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots. Coincidentally on the same day, Kamal Nath, who was named by eyewitnesses but absolved by the Nanavati Commisssion, took the oath as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Pritam Pal Singh, who reported on the court order and met with victims of the riots, joins us to talk about the case. Next, Shalini Nair discusses the ‘gross violations’ that a probe into women’s shelter homes in four states by the National Commission for Women revealed.
