Earlier, she addressed the country at the campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, and talked about the abortion laws and gun violence which has disturbed the nation for many years.

The first woman vice president praised President Joe Biden’s accomplishments during her first public appearance on Monday since the announcement of his pulling back from the race and endorsed her as his successor. “Joe Biden’s legacy over the last three years is unmatched in modern history,”

Why did Biden pull back? After the disastrous debate on CNN with Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump, the demand for President Biden to step down had grown and the Democratic supporters were in the conundrum of whether Biden could defeat Trump. Biden announced his exit from the election bid scheduled for November 5 after battling the pressure originating within his own Democratic Party. With his departure from the electoral bid, Biden, who is currently suffering from COVID-19, has bid adieu to the office of the POTUS until he officially demits it.
