The US House Oversight Committee has released more records from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate on Monday, including several pages from a book compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell for his 50th birthday in 2003, as Vice President JD Vance called out Democrats for “not caring about Epstein’s victims” and defending President Donald Trump.

Trump, who had denied sending “birthday note” to Epstein after the Wall Street Journal published notes from it in July, had sued the newspaper for defamation. Democrats, taking to X, posted an image purportedly of the “birthday book” with Trump’s name.

In a post on X, Vance accused Democrats that they “don’t care about Epstein. They don’t even care about his victims. That’s why they were silent about it for years.” The vice president added, “The only thing they care about is concocting another fake scandal like Russiagate to smear President Trump with lies.”

In August, the lawyers of Epstein estate were subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee and they sent the documents which included a letter as part of a 50th birthday album compiled in 2003 for Epstein. It was released by the committee on Monday night.

A copy of the alleged letter sent by Trump to Epstein was posted on X by Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee that featured a sketch of a woman’s body, with a note on it and a signature of Trump at the bottom.

The White House has categorically rejected the claims and said, “President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.” When the Wall Street Journal published the particulars of the note, Trump had said it was “fake” adding, “These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures.”

Rejecting the claims made by the House Committee, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively pursue litigation. As I have said all along, it’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”

What does Epstein’s newly released records contain

Apart from the alleged “birthday book” that contains troves of pages, the records released on Monday include Epstein’s last will and testament, entries from his address book, and the 2007 non-prosecution agreement between Epstein and the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.
