Four Indian-origin beauties are among 54 finalists of the Miss England 2009 contest and early public voting trends indicate that two of them are likely to enter the top five.

Four Indian-origin beauties are among 54 finalists of the Miss England 2009 contest and early public voting trends indicate that two of them are likely to enter the top five.

The contest will be held over two days from 19 July.

Public voting for the contestants has begun and trends indicate that two of the four Indian-origin contestants are among the top five who have received the most votes.

These Indian-origin contestants are: London-based Snehali Naik,who was the winner of Miss India UK 2006; Hertfordshire-based chartered accountant Reema Mehta,Miss Surrey Uma Dhir and Swindon-based Elishma Fernandes.

Reema Mehta and Uma Dhir figure in the top five contestants,who have so far received the most votes.

Public voting for the contestants ends at 6 pm on 20 July,and the results will be declared soon after.
