Additionally, 300 children will participate in the “Safety Ambassadors” programme, alongside 28 awareness programmes with the involvement of 15 partner organisations.
Field teams of Dubai Police will also visit 71 schools, including Hemaya schools (an initiative of the Dubai police), to engage with students and parents, raising both security and community awareness.
“The Back-to-School Initiative ensures a safe and supportive environment for students, parents, and educators, setting the stage for a successful academic year ahead,” the Dubai Police said.
Captain Majid bin Saaed Al Kaabi, the head of Dubai Police’s School Safety initiative, said the goal is to enhance school security in collaboration with teaching and administrative staff, address emerging behaviours, and strengthen trust between students, parents, and the police through awareness lectures and activities.
Earlier this month, the Dubai Police said August 21, the first day of the 2025-26 academic year, will also be marked as the annual “Day Without Accidents”. To encourage safe and accident-free driving on Monday, which is expected to see a massive rush on the roads, the Dubai Police has announced it will reward good conduct by removing four black points from the driving licence of such drivers.
