The Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu is known for getting concluded in a very small period of time, but in 2019 elections, ECI decided to take things one step further as the elections on all the seats were held in one single phase, making it the biggest single phase among all the states which is once again the case in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as the state is all set to conclude the polling on all their 39 seats in just one phase, i.e., phase 1. How many Lok Sabha constituencies Tamil Nadu has? The southernmost state of India, Tamil Nadu ranks fifth in highest number of Lok Sabha seats among states, behind Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Bihar, with 39 seats of its own. Out of the 39 seats, 32 seats are unreserved, while seven seats are reserved for SC candidates. During the 2019 elections, DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance registered a landslide victory by winning 38 of the 39 seats, giving the largest party of the nation only one seat.
