In the flooded Muzaffarpur district in Bihar, an Indian Air Force chopper—carrying out flood relief operations—made an emergency landing in an area inundated with water. The video of the partially submerged chopper was widely circulated on social media.

Now, a video of a YouTuber reporting the accident against the backdrop of the chopper is winning hearts on the internet. The viral clip shows the youth describing the dramatic emergency landing. Submerged in water, the youth brought in a few locals, who helped IAF personnel manoeuvre the landing safely, on camera. One of the men in the video says he would always risk his life to save our soldiers.

With over 191,07,000 views, the lively reporting of the youth has impressed several social media users. Hailing him, a user wrote, “Even these guys know what the Army or Air Force means to us. Indians & how much we value their lives and sacrifices they all make for us. Lots of appreciation and many thanks to these people on the ground for saving our Heroes.” Another user commented, “Indian reporting at its best.”

“Deserves a best journalist Award,” a third user reacted. “Asli (real) reporting,” another user wrote.

According to PTI, the IAF chopper had three personnel onboard including two pilots. All of them were rescued. “The helicopter made an emergency landing in a water-logged area in Aurai block. All the occupants were IAF personnel and they were pulled out by locals by the time officials reached the spot,” PTI quoted Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar.

The debris has been handed over to the Air Force for further investigation. Sources say the target may have been a military installation in Srinagar, which is close to the lake.
