Mumbai to Washington cheap flight tickets draw attention

A Bengaluru man was surprised after he discovered Washington to Mumbai flight tickets for just Rs 19,000. Taking to his X account @phalgun_g, the man shared that he was searching for the flight tickets for April 25 when he saw the cheap flight fare, including regular two check-in baggage.

Sharing the screenshot of the same, he wrote, “Washington to Mumbai flight for 19k INR how is this possible??? went until payment page. Includes regular 2 checkin baggage too!” The screenshot also shows multiple travel companies offering the cheapest flight ticket from Mumbai to Washington. While FlightNetwork is offering the cheapest flight ticket at just Rs 18,770, GotoGate and Cleartrip are offering flights for the same route for just Rs 19,332 and Rs 19,815, respectively.

The screenshot also shows the flight would have a stopover in Jeddah while coming from Washington to Mumbai.

Shared on March 20, the post has left travel enthusiasts surprised on social media. Reacting to it, a user commented, “Refresh or research and see it increase by 100%” Another user wondered, “someone might have messed with the backend!”

“Perhaps may be because hardly anyone can arrange for a visa within such a short span,” the third user wrote. “Just bought Mumbai mangalore return for 12k #fml,” another user shared.

Generally, a flight ticket price from India to the US starts at Rs 54,814 and can extend above Rs 72,000, depending on the airline.
