The surge followed the release of the first teaser for Thunderbolts, featuring prominent actors such as Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh. The teaser showcases a group of unlikely characters, tasked with a government mission. Directed by Jake Schreier, this action-packed film is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 2 next year.

The storyline for Thunderbolts revolves around a team of former villains who take on heroic roles in the absence of Earth’s main protectors. However, their true identities as a villainous organization are later revealed. Originally led by Baron Zemo, this group has drawn comparisons to the Suicide Squad due to the nature of their missions.
