They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and Swiggy delivery agent Pankaj did just that. His story has struck an emotional chord with many on social media.
Pankaj’s story came to light after Mayank Agarwal, a Gurgaon-based CEO, shared it on LinkedIn after their encounter. Agarwal had initially asked for his food to be delivered upstairs, but when he heard a child’s voice during his phone conversation with Pankaj, he decided to head down and was pleasantly surprised by what he saw. Pankaj was waiting on his motorcycle along with his two-year-old daughter.
Curious, Agarwal asked him why the little girl was with him during his working hours. Pankaj quietly explained that his wife died during childbirth. With his older son attending coaching classes, he had no choice but to bring his daughter along.
On LinkedIn, Agarwal wrote: “He responded, ‘There’s no one at home. Her older brother is attending evening classes, and I need to look after her until he returns. Her name is Tun Tun’.”
“Mr Pankaj, a Swiggy delivery partner, manages his job while carrying his toddler daughter, because he has no other option. No childcare. No safety net. Just resilience and a true father’s love,” Agarwal added.
“He even shared that some customers have told him, ‘Sit at home if you can’t manage—having a toddler is your problem.’ This makes me wonder, where are we going as a society. But he had no complaints—only a quiet smile. This moment reminded me how much we take for granted—and how many silently carry extraordinary burdens every day,” he wrote.

Let’s all do better,” a user wrote. “The delivery boys are not robots they are human with everything human like. The system is unfair on them because of unemployment scene,” another user commented.
“The love of a father is underrated in this world. You barely find them expressing what they actually feel for their child but this… This shows everything,” a third user reacted.
