Inspired by a popular Iranian song called ‘Jamaal Jamaaloo’, the Animal song was reimagined by composer Harshvardhan Rameshwar for the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. While its lyrics are said to have originated from the southern region of Iran, it was first sung by Shirazi Choir of the Kharazemi Girls High School in the 1950s. It is now a popular wedding song in Iran. It is said to be adapted from a poem of the same name, written by famous Iranian poet Bijan Smandar.
