Imagine going to the bathroom and finding over 35 snakes! It may sound like something that happens only in the movies but it turned into a reality for a resident in Assam.

A video of more than 35 snakes discovered in a house in the Nagaon district has caught the internet’s attention. Shared by news agency ANI, the video shows several snakes slithering out from a large rock. The now-viral video also shows the resident collecting the snakes into a bucket.

“Around 35 snakes crawl were found in a house in the Kaliabor area of Assam’s Nagaon district. The snakes were recovered by Sanjib Deka who is an animal lover,” ANI wrote.

The video garnered over 93,03,000 views as social media users on X reacted to it. “Not good place to build toilet, later snakes may come back again,” a user commented. “baap re mai toh mar hi jaunga agar mere ghar par koi saanp nikla toh (I’ll die if I see snake at my home),” another user wrote.

Speaking to ANI, Sanjib Deka said, “The house owner informed me about the presence of snakes and I reached the spot. I found that many snakes were crawling at the place. I recovered around 35 snakes crawling from a newly constructed toilet of the house. Later I released the snakes crawl at Joisagar Dalani area.”

According to reports, Deka earlier rescued a 14-foot-long giant Burmese python, weighing over 55 kg, from a tea estate in Kaliabo.
