While garnering over 57 million views and nearly 2 million likes, the video has ignited a debate. Many social media users have expressed concern that the incident could have been fatal for the dog, while others called for the cobra to be saved. “Train your dog , he doesn’t even follow your command,” a user wrote.

“If you google up, cobra family doesn’t cause the most death. They mostly warn you or dry bite you. They are one of the intelligent & wisest snake species and eat vipers for breakfast ( vipers that cause most death). Hence you see a cobra, don’t kill it,” another user commented.
