In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a farewell party for a government employee in Rajasthan’s Kota ended in tragedy when his wife passed away during the celebration. The incident has garnered widespread attention online since the man had chosen early retirement to care for his ailing wife.

Viral footage captures Devendra Sandal and his wife with garlands as colleagues applaud them. During the event, Sandal’s wife began feeling dizzy. Concerned, he called for water and gently massaged her back, but moments later, she collapsed onto the table.

As reported by News18, she was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Sharing the video, an X user wrote, “It is a heart-warming story of love and sacrifice.”

Several users paid condolences after the incident came to light. “So heartbreaking to watch,” a user wrote. “True couple. Made for each other,” another user commented.

Sandal, the husband who worked as a manager at Central Warehousing Corporation in Kota, Rajasthan had decided to retire three years early to take care of his ailing wife, Tina, a heart patient.
