As India batters monsoon, videos of several tourists trapped at different locations continue to dominate social media. Recently, a tourist was trapped in the raging Kalu Waterfall in Khirveshwar in Pune, Maharashtra. According to Punekar News, the incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon when the tourist slipped while attempting to cross the raging Kalu river near the first stage of the waterfall. The report further stated that the man got swept and was stuck near the edge of the cliff. Soon after the incident came to light, the onlookers created a makeshift rope by using scarves and dupattas and pulled him out. According to one of the rescuers, there were no guides or rescue officers present at the scene. Footage, which is doing the rounds on the Internet, shows a group of men pulling out the trapped tourist with a makeshift rope.
