Mumbai’s local trains are infamous for their overcrowding. One such video of a crowded local train has now surfaced on social media. The clip shows a man struggling to get down from a jam-packed local train, sparking hilarious reactions.

Shared by an X handle @gharkekalesh, the viral video shows several commuters making desperate efforts to get onto the train while a man struggles+ to get down the train amid heavy rain. In an attempt to exit the train, the man hits a fellow commuter and falls on the platform.

Shared on August 5, the video accumulated almost a million views as social media users shared their hilarious take. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “I feel you just have to stand there and you will automatically reach your destination.” Another user commented, “It’s somehow bit funny. That black bouncer looking guy slammed his elbow so hard and then he only fell down.”

“Frustrated employee of the year,” a third user reacted.

Meanwhile, local train services on the Central Railway route in Thane, Maharashtra, were stalled due to a technical issue, triggering massive overcrowding on the platforms on Monday. A video of Ghatkopar station showed a sea of commuters standing in long queues with no hope of boarding the train.

“Due to a technical issue between Thakurli and Kalyan down through line is affected from 14.28 pm. Our technical team is working on it to resume service. The inconvenience caused is regretted,” Central Railway wrote on X.
