Sabyasachi Mukherjee has truly become a household name when it comes to bridal fashion. His exquisite designs are adored by brides-to-be who dream of owning at least one of his traditional masterpieces. But his influence extends far beyond the usual clientele. Recently, Innovation for Change, a non-profit organisation, showcased underprivileged kids creating bridal wear, drawing inspiration from Sabyasachi's iconic collection. The video released by the NGO captures the young designers wearing their creations, bringing their flair to the famous looks. “We are Lucknow based NGO Working with 400+ slum children and provide free education to these children, these dress were design by our student and all student those who are performing in this these are from slum,” the NGO wrote in the comments section of the post. “These kids come from extremely poor and helpless families. They try to create designer dresses through their creativity by sorting out all the clothes they get from locals and people from the neighbourhood as charity. They recently decided to do something like this after watching a new @sabyasachi video,” read the NGO’s comment loosely translated from Hindi. The NGO also shared the video was shot by 15-year-olds who it said are trying to hone their skills every day. "The girls you see in the reel are not professional models but girls living in Malin Basti who are about 12 to 17 years old and all the red dresses are made by these kids,” it said.
