Dressed modestly in her religious habit and standing barefoot at the starting line, Kerala nun Sister Sabina, 55, left spectators awestruck as she sprinted forward and effortlessly cleared hurdles at a state-level athletics meet.

A national-level hurdler as a teenager, Sister Sabina claimed first place in the 55-plus category at the State Masters Athletics meet, years after stepping away from competitive racing.
